Life Beyond Limits is a public health initiative focused on promoting equal access to aggressive treatments for older patients of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). In order to mobilize this community to action, they needed a site that would serve as a centralized hub for the MDS patient community to share, learn, and connect.
I developed a fully featured WordPress and bbPress community where MDS-affected patients can post their stories, find resources, and connect. The site features graceful multilingual features that automatically detects each user’s primary language, pulling in appropriate and relevant content as available. I also implemented a customized admin panel to easily allow multilingual content to be added via a tabbed interface.
